The movie Snap is mainly focused around a documentary crew who has just intruded on the home of a woman by the name of Sandra. Sandra has been bashed and ripped apart by the media in the past and because she is angry and bitter, she decides to antagonize the documentary group. Not too long before the documentary crew intruded into her home, Sandra and her son Stephen instantly became the main focus of the media when Stephen kidnapped a young child. This caused wide spread panic across the nation and turned Sandra into prime target for the media and tabloids.
