A neighborhood pharmacist, strapped with responsibilities to his sick brother and elderly mother, has given up on the idea of romance. Until one night he meets a young woman with her own family drama. They talk over beer, and eventually start to go out and take trips together. Just as they begin to get closer, forces outside of their control throw their lives into chaos.
