When a plane crashes with only Denise Watson, a producer of commercials for television, as the single survivor, Miss Watson is struck with the strong sense that something wants to catch her. As she relays her story to Brian, her boyfriend who also pulls double duty as a physician, the man explains it away as survivor's guilt, a condition that has lead more than one person to suicidal tendencies. Denise also receives some guidance from a psychic, Carla Davis, who was aware that the plane crash would happen.

After a series of strange incidents and people that could be considered as zombies, Denise comes to the conclusion that something wants to end her life. Her revelation is supported by the rapid deaths of those close to her. Denise's boyfriend believes that the woman's sanity is slipping until he discovers that every dead body, even the one that Denise believes attacked her, experienced a redirection of blood flow into their legs--as if the bodies had died while standing upright.

Soul Survivor is the film adaptation of James Herbert's horror story "The Survivor," and is both written and directed by Thom Eberhardt. The film has a total running time of 93 minutes.
