"Spring" was an autobiographical documentary about Oskar Luts. The documentary took place in Estonia, at a boarding school. It addressed subjects regarding friendship, and life in the 1800s. It also covered love, and the season of Spring. It was also a adaptation of a popular novel by Luts. It was directed by Arvo Kruusement, and written by Kaljo Kiisk. The documentary was first in a top ten poll of movies journalists and critics were judging in 2002. The movie originally sold 558,000 tickets in Estonia in 1970, and another 8,100,000 the following year in the Soviet Union.
