Summer of All My Parents is a French drama film directed by Diasteme that was released in 2016. The movie stars Luna Lou as Emilia, Pascale Arbillot as Caroline and Alma Jodorowsky as Julio a love interest of Emilia. The movie follows Emilia a young teenager who spends her summer vacation with her divorced parents, Caroline and Philippe, and her younger brother in a remote rural part of Brittany.

From the beginning of the movie, we can see that Emilia is struggling to cope with the separation of her parents. She finds it difficult to choose between her two parents and constantly tries to bring them back together. Her mother Caroline is a successful lawyer but spends most of her time and energy trying to impress her colleagues and clients. On the other hand, her father Philippe is a struggling writer who spends most of his time in his own world, trying to write his next book.

As the summer progresses, Emilia meets Julio, a young boy who works at a nearby farm. She immediately takes a liking to him and the two quickly become friends. However, their relationship is complicated by the fact that Julio is the son of the farmer who Caroline is representing in a court case. Despite Caroline's disapproval of their friendship, Emilia spends more and more time with Julio, and they become close.

Throughout the movie, we see Emilia's struggle to connect with her parents and find her place in the world. She feels neglected by her mother who doesn't seem to have time for her, and her father who is lost in his own thoughts. At the same time, she's trying to navigate her first love and figure out who she wants to be.

Diasteme does a fantastic job of telling the story of a young girl's coming of age. The cinematography is breathtaking, and the soundtrack perfectly complements the movie's emotional scenes. Luna Lou delivers a stunning performance as Emilia, capturing her character's vulnerabilities and insecurities. Alma Jodorowsky brings charm and warmth to her role as Julio, and Pascale Arbillot, as Caroline, provides a powerful and nuanced portrayal of a mother whose focus is on her career, leaving little time for her family.

Overall, Summer of All My Parents is a beautiful and poignant drama that explores the complexities of family relationships and the challenges of growing up. It's a movie that will touch the hearts of anyone who has ever struggled to find their place in the world or connect with the people they love.
