Taking Chances is a romantic comedy from 2009 that follows the story of Chase Revere (Justin Long), a man who inherits his grandfather's estate and discovers that he has been left with a surprising condition in order to receive it. He must marry and have a child within a year, or he risks losing everything to his conniving cousin. The performances by Justin Long, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Rob Corddry are all exceptional. Justin Long brings a vulnerability and sensitivity to his role, making the character of Chase more likable and relatable. Emmanuelle Chriqui shines as the ambitious and smart lawyer, Pamela, and Rob Corddry provides a strong supporting role, as Chase's best friend, Larry.
