Watch The Andromeda Nebula

Early in the international space-race, Russian sci-fi writers were as busy as their counterparts in Hollywood. This is the ship's log of a Russian crew on a long, interstellar exploration mission. The crew's craft is caught in the pull of the Iron Star, and they are hurled to a planet with a viscous alien population. For twenty years, the crew is held in the star's pull while flesh-eating aliens try to finish them off. The key to their survival is the on-board light emission from their vessel. The light is deadly to the aliens, but once the power supply runs-out, survival becomes more gruesome and fleeting.
