However, two of the family's brother are mainly involved, Mateo and Nicola. This movie follows their journey from their youthful days during the 1960's, as well as their adult lives and parenthood in 2003.

During these years, the story focuses on all of the choices and decisions both of these brothers make, as well as how these decisions will effect them in the long run.
