When Max Flynn learns that his family is preparing to move yet again, he wishes for some way out of his disheartening predicament. Out of thin air, a magical Faerie appears and offers Max an opportunity to have his wish granted. Along with his friend Jess, Max embarks on an arduous trial that the Faeries have duplicitously created with intent to drain his life energy.
