Watch The Diary of Preston Plummer

This is a 2012 film, written and directed by Sean Ackerman. The movie takes place on, around, and off the coast of Amelia Island, Florida. It stars Trevor Morgan and Rumer Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Rumer plays Kate. Lost, with no direction, and nearly flat broke the day of his college graduation, Preston Plummer can't think of anything he'd really like to do. He goes to a graduation party where he meets Kate and escapes the party with her after she fights with her boyfriend. She asks Preston if he will drive her to her family home in Florida. Kate says she will finance the road trip. She's from a wealthy family, and they own an island and hotel. Once there, everything will be taken care of. Preston agrees to drive Kate and after arrival, he meets her grandfather who is played by Robert Loggia. Her grandfather owns more land than anybody around, but has become somewhat needy because of his refusal to sell to devolopers. He admonishes Preston that Kate's family will not tell the truth about him. Preston's curiousity is aroused and he sets out to solve a family mystery.
