One night, while Chloe is away, James finally gets his chance to unlock the door. What he finds inside is beyond his worst nightmares. From that moment on, James is consumed by the door and its secrets. He becomes a shell of his former self, barely functioning as a human being.

The Door is a chilling exploration of madness and obsession, wrapped in a ghost story. The film is beautifully shot, and the performances are top notch. Tom Moule is particularly effective as the troubled writer, bringing a nuanced and sympathetic performance to a difficult role. Estelle Shutkever is great as Chloe, providing a grounded counterpoint to James' increasingly erratic behavior.
