The Independent is an Australian comedy/drama mockumentary style film. The film centers around Marty Browning who is an Independent. Marty is in a political running and has only a mere 58 days to make sure that he is the elected winner. If Marty fails he stands to lose his house, remaining sanity, and quite possibly his life. The balance of power needs to be restored for Marty's life to be a success.
