The Church of Beethoven began as cellist Felix Wurman's dream of knocking the stuffiness out of classical music. It has blossomed into a remarkable and eclectic Sunday morning affair that each week blends performances of classical music with poetry, visual art and occasional dashes of everything from flamenco to didgeridoo. This special edition DVD by Music From The Q presents the story of how the Church of Beethoven evolved from its humble beginnings. Included are the voices of Wurman, performers and audience members, plus a Sunday "service" that includes a stirring performance of Dvorak's "Serenade for Wind Instruments," from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. 1.
