The World's Greatest Lover is a comedy film starring Gene Wilder that surrounds his character's obsession with getting a leading role in a film on the silver screen. The plot starts with a movie studios named Rainbow Studios that believes their ratings are failing due to a rival company's contract with a famous actor named Rudolph Valentino. In response to this and in an attempt to get an actor of equal stature they hold a contest to find the world's greatest lover, in which Gene Wilder's character is determined to win. This funny film features his struggles and obstacles to do so.
