The Young Girl and the Monsoon

The Young Girl and the Monsoon is an American dramedy film produced in 1999 and released to theaters two years later. The film revolves around the relationship between Hank, a photojournalist, and Constance, Hank's tween daughter. Hank agrees to look after Constance while his ex spends a few weeks on vacation with her replacement husband. Beyond the obvious schedule shift of looking after his adolescent daughter, Hank's personal life turns rocky after his younger girlfriend expresses a desire to wed and Constance's frustrations over Hank's preference for capturing war footage that stand to earn him a journalistic award.
