Xi'an or its old name, Chang'an, is the provincial capital of Shaanxi. As one of six Chinese ancient capitals, Xi'an dates back to more than 3000 years ago. The well-known Silk Road begins with it. Places of interest in Xi'an include Banpo Village Ruins, Big (Wild) Goose Pagoda, Little (Wild) Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, Drum Tower and well-preserved City wall of Xi'an. What's more, famous sites like the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and his Terracotta Armym which is known as one of the world's eight wonders, Huaqing Palace in Lintong, the Forest of Steles that treasures up steles of dynasties and Shaanxi History Museum are all located in this city.
