Veera Madakari is a 2009 Kannada-language action-comedy film directed by Sudeep and produced by Dinesh Gandhi. It stars Sudeep, Devaraj, and Ragini Dwivedi in lead roles, along with Avinash, Ravi Shankar, Satyajit, and others in supporting roles. The film is a remake of the 2006 Tamil film, Anjaneya, which itself was a remake of the 2004 Telugu film, Lakshmi Narasimha. Veera Madakari is a masala entertainer that revolves around the life of Madakari Nayaka (Sudeep), a Robin Hood-like bandit who steals from the rich and helps the poor. Madakari Nayaka lives in the forest along with his gang of loyal followers and is considered a hero by the villagers.

One day, Madakari Nayaka and his gang cross paths with a group of thugs who have been hired by the corrupt minister, Udayashankar (Devaraj), to steal a valuable diamond from a temple. In the process of stopping the thugs, Madakari Nayaka ends up getting caught by the police and is sent to prison.

While in prison, Madakari Nayaka comes across another prisoner, Kalinga (Ravi Shankar), who is also a bandit. Kalinga tells Madakari Nayaka about a plan to rob a rich businessman named Raja Hegde, who is planning to transport a massive amount of money on a train. Madakari Nayaka agrees to join forces with Kalinga and his gang to pull off the heist.

Meanwhile, Udayashankar also learns about Raja Hegde's plan and sends his own team of thugs to rob the train. What follows is a race against time as the two rival groups try to outsmart each other and get their hands on the money. As the action-packed chase unfolds, Madakari Nayaka and Udayashankar come face to face, leading to a thrilling climax.

Sudeep delivers a power-packed performance as Madakari Nayaka, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Devaraj is impressive as the conniving minister, Udayashankar, and provides ample entertainment with his comic timing. Ragini Dwivedi plays the female lead, who appears in a few song and dance sequences, but doesn't have a significant role in the story.

The film's music, composed by R.P. Patnaik, is peppy and dancy, with some memorable tracks like "Buddhe Baalige" and "Baaro Pailwaan". The lively rhythm and catchy lyrics make the songs a hit among the audience.

Overall, Veera Madakari is an enjoyable film that combines action, comedy, and romance, making it a perfect weekend watch. The film's high-octane action sequences, witty one-liners, and impressive performances make it a must-watch for fans of the action-comedy genre.

Veera Madakari is a 2009 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 47 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.5.
