This is a comedy movie about a group of British soldiers in a German prisoner of war camp. Sir Ernest Pease is an inventor, and he is important to the war effort. During a test flight of a new radar system, he is forced to bail out of his plane while over Germany. The Germans have no idea who he is, but the British inmates at the camp know how important he is to the war effort. They decide he must escape at all costs.

The prisoners devise a plan to help the scientist escape custody. They manage to convince their captors a party will help everyone.
