Watch When in Rome
- 1 hr 34 min
Beth a successful Manhattan Curator, who was recently dumped by her boyfriend, is feeling less then successful about love. She finds herself on a sudden trip to Rome for her younger sisters surprise wedding. She is depressed about the recent break-up and ready to give up on love all together. In Rome she meets Nick, a man who seems as clumsy as she is about love and everything else. Beth is immediately drawn to him and despite her recent bitterness about love she finds herself falling for him. When she spies him kissing another woman she gets jealous and hurt because she was really starting to like him. The Fountain of Love is surrounded by myths and legends. In a foolish act after having too much to drink Beth takes several coins from the fountain. She is hurt, drunk, and jealous and doesn't think anything of her theft of the coins. There is a myth about the coins in the fountain that Beth is unaware of at the time. The myth claims that whenever you take a coin from the fountain the original owner of the coin falls in love with you. Suddenly Beth has several suitors, including Nick, doing outrageous things trying to get her attention. They follow her from Rome back to her home in New York. One of her suitors who follow her back is Nick who she had been falling for anyway before he betrayed her. Nick is trying to convince her that he loves her but she is having a hard time believing him because one of the coins from the fountain belongs to him. Beth is convinced that his interest in her is part of the spell cast on him by the Fountain of Love. Nick and all the other men are under a spell and she doesn't believe any of the love they feel for her is real. This is an adventure in putting things right, not taking advantage of love that isn't real and trying to find true love in the process.
