A Wonderful Moment is a Korean film about Yoo Il-Han, a talented but arrogant theater director who has been forced to work on children’s musicals after the box office failure of his attempt at a big budget production. His dreams of working in New York City are rekindled by a televised musical competition for the role of main child actor in a major Broadway production. Il-Han becomes one of five mentors, each of whom is tasked with training one of the child actors competing for the coveted role. In the first stage of the show, the mentors select their pupils by listening to, but not seeing, their auditions. Il-Han becomes furious when he finds that he was allowed to choose a child whom he believes has no hope of working on Broadway. As they begin to work together, though, Il-Han discovers that there is more to the child than he’d first believed.
