Watch Yari & Shinai

In this DVD Master Sueyoshi Akeshi teaches serious study of Yari, and more specifically the So-Jutsu, with 10 solo drills and kihon. While the difficulty common to all these movements is the distance control, due to the size of the weapon, in the hands of Master Akeshi it is easily handled by his usual skills. Also presented in this DVD the Kumidashi Hiden, which are executed with Fokuro-Shinai, it is certainly the most desirable weapon for the study of this group of 10 techniques. The speed of movements taught requires intense concentration by both practitioners, since the risk of accident is most certainly present. Therefore, the use of Shinai Fokuro minimizes these risks.
