Zebra Lounge is a 2001 erotic thriller that explores the dangerous thrill of sexually experimenting, cheating, and trading sexual partners. The film follows the lives of Wendy and Alan Barnet, a seemingly happily married couple who are both successful in their careers. However, their intimate life is in dire need of revamp. Struggling with routine and monotony, the couple decides to spice up their love life by placing an ad in a swingers magazine. Shortly after, they receive a response from Jack and Louise Bauer. As a result, they agree to meet the Bauers at the titular Zebra Lounge, an upscale meet and greet venue for the swinging community.

Once the two couples meet, they are drawn to one another, and the Bauers convince the Barnets to take things further by drinking and partying. What starts as a fun and innocent adventure soon turns into a dangerous and deadly game of sex, lies, and jealousy.

Stephen Baldwin plays Alan Barnet, a hardworking businessman who feels neglected and unappreciated by his wife. Baldwin delivers a convincing performance as a man desperate for excitement and sexual fulfillment. Cameron Daddo plays Jack Bauer, an enigmatic and charismatic presence who serves as the ringleader of the swinging community. Daddo excels in his portrayal of a man who is both seductive and dangerous.

Kristy Swanson plays Wendy Barnet, a stay-at-home mom who is feeling unfulfilled and bored with her life. Swanson gives a nuanced performance as a woman who is torn between her love for her husband and her desire for sexual exploration.

Director Kari Skogland expertly handles the erotic and tense material, maintaining a sense of tension and danger throughout the film. The cinematography is dark and moody, which expertly sets the tone for the film's noirish atmosphere.

Although the film deals with mature themes, it never strays into the exploitative or gratuitous territory. The characters are well-developed, and the actor's performances are top-notch. The film serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of sex and the consequences that come with infidelity.

Overall, Zebra Lounge is a well-crafted and suspenseful thriller that explores the darker side of human desire. It expertly blends themes of infidelity, deceit, and sexual experimentation into a compelling and unforgettable film. This movie is not for everyone, but for those who are interested in darker, more mature fare, it is definitely worth checking out.

Zebra Lounge is a 2001 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 32 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.7.
