Ep 5. Episode 5

In this episode of 13 Reasons Why, titled "Episode 5," the viewer follows Clay Jensen as he continues to gather information about Hannah Baker's suicide. Clay is still reeling from the events of the previous episode, where he struck out at Tyler Down after discovering him taking photos of the girls at school.

As Clay struggles to come to terms with what he's learned about Hannah, he becomes increasingly desperate to understand the reasoning behind her decision to take her own life. He seeks out Tony, a confidant of Hannah's, for information, but the normally tight-lipped Tony is hesitant to divulge any details.

Meanwhile, at school, tensions are running high in the wake of Tyler's attack. The school's administration is on high alert, and the students are on edge as they try to navigate the aftermath. Clay becomes increasingly isolated as his friend group begins to fracture under the weight of their shared trauma.

Elsewhere, we see flashbacks of Hannah's life before she committed suicide. We learn more about her relationship with her parents, which has been strained for some time. Her father, in particular, is struggling with the loss of Hannah, and is having difficulty processing his grief.

As the episode progresses, Clay begins to piece together the events that led up to Hannah's suicide. He discovers that she was once close with a popular girl named Courtney, who is now pretending not to know her. Clay confronts Courtney, but she is evasive and unhelpful.

Meanwhile, Hannah's parents are struggling to come to terms with their daughter's death. Her mother blames herself for not being able to recognize Hannah's pain, while her father becomes increasingly reckless in his attempts to find answers.

In the end, "Episode 5" leaves the viewer with more questions than answers. As Clay delves deeper into Hannah's life, he begins to realize just how complex and troubled she was, and how difficult it is to understand the reasons behind her decision to take her own life.
