In the four years since 24 Hour Baby Hospital began filming, some 35,000 new babies have been born at the Rotunda Hospital. In this episode, we revisit some of the families that to find out what has happened in their lives since they first appeared in the series.

Dundalk couple, Cathy and Darren, learn that their baby, who is only 20 weeks in the womb has a very serious congenital abnormality that if left untreated will possibly be fatal. However, a groundbreaking yet risky in-utero surgery in Belgium is possible.

After multiple heartbreaking miscarriages, Jenny is in the Rotunda hoping for a good outcome with this pregnancy. Also in the Rotunda, it was 'love at first swipe' for young couple Michaela and Mark, who are taking a step into the unknown as they become parents for the first time.

Tara and Neill's journey to parenthood has not been an easy one. After devastating miscarriages, the couple return to the Rotunda hoping for the safe arrival of their baby girl.

County Roscommon couple, Orlaith and James arrive at the Rotunda Hospital for an emergency procedure on their twins who are just at 16 weeks gestation. They are hoping to save the lives of both babies who have been diagnosed with 'twin to twin transfusion syndrome.'

Dubliners Michelle and Clive return to the Rotunda Hospital three years after the birth of their first child, Zach, passed away in the hospital after being born prematurely. This time they are hoping to avoid early labour for the safe arrival of their second child.
