Acquisitions Incorporated The Series is an American web series produced by Penny Arcade that debuted in 2016. The show is based on a live Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) campaign played by the cast members, and it follows the adventures of the titular mercenary group as they complete contracts and quests for various patrons.

The series stars Jerry Holkins as Omin Dran, the CEO of Acquisitions Incorporated, a company that hires adventurers to complete jobs on behalf of their clients. Patrick Rothfuss also makes appearances in some of the episodes as Viari, a member of the Acquisitions Incorporated team.

The show has a distinct comedic tone, with the cast often veering off-course from the missions they are assigned to pursue their own interests and agendas. This leads to numerous hijinks and hilarious roleplaying moments throughout the series, making for an entertaining watch for fans of comedy RPGs like D&D.

One of the highlights of the show is its excellent production value. The episodes are professionally edited and feature high-quality graphics and animations that help bring the action to life. The show's set design is also impressive, with the cast performing in front of a green screen that allows them to be seamlessly inserted into various locations, from a bustling city street to a treacherous dungeon.

Another standout aspect of the series is the chemistry between the cast members. Holkins and Rothfuss in particular have a great rapport, with their quick-witted banter and playful antagonism adding an element of fun to every scene they share. The other members of the cast, including Kris Straub, and Ryan Hartman, are also strong performers.

The show also features guest appearances from various celebrities and personalities from the world of gaming and entertainment. Notable guests include Wil Wheaton, Morgan Webb, and Chris Perkins, among others, who lend their talents to the show's already impressive ensemble cast.

While the show is primarily a comedy, it is still rooted in the mechanics of D&D, with combat encounters and skill checks playing a significant role in the story. This makes it a great watch for fans of the tabletop game, as well as those who are simply looking for a lighthearted adventure series to enjoy.

One of the unique aspects of Acquisitions Incorporated The Series is that it is not just a single season of episodes, but an ongoing campaign that has been running for several years. This means that viewers can follow the adventures of the group as they progress and develop over time, with new challenges and villains to face along the way.

Overall, Acquisitions Incorporated The Series is an entertaining and well-produced show that is sure to delight fans of comedy, roleplaying games, and fantasy adventure alike. With its sharp writing, excellent cast, and top-notch production values, it is a must-watch for anyone looking for a fun and engaging web series to enjoy.
