America Says Season 2 Episode 28 Bookworms vs. bluffers
- January 2, 2018
In America Says season 2 episode 28, titled "Bookworms vs. Bluffers," contestants face off in a battle of intellect and wit. Two teams go head-to-head as they compete to identify the most popular answers to a series of survey questions. The twist? Each question has a theme related to books.
The episode starts off with host John Michael Higgins introducing the two teams. The Bookworm team consists of four avid readers who claim they can identify any book title based off of a few vague clues. The Bluffer team consists of four confident players who claim they can fool anyone into thinking they know the answers to book-related questions, even if they don't.
The teams begin with the first survey question: "Name a book with a color in the title." The Bookworms take an early lead, quickly identifying popular answers like "The Color Purple" and "Red Rising." However, the Bluffers aren't far behind, using their bluffing skills to guess answers like "Blue Moon" and "Green Garden."
Throughout the episode, the teams are tested on their knowledge of popular book titles, characters, and authors. They must also use their deduction skills to guess popular book-related scenarios, such as "Name a classic novel featuring a love triangle" and "Name a book set in a post-apocalyptic world."
As the competition heats up, tensions rise between the two teams. The Bookworms accuse the Bluffers of cheating, while the Bluffers call the Bookworms "know-it-alls." However, both teams try to keep their cool and focus on winning the game.
In the final round, the teams are asked to guess the most popular title of a given author. The Bookworms quickly identify Jane Austen as the author, but struggle to guess the most popular title. The Bluffers, using their bluffing skills, guess "Proud and Prejudiced," which is surprisingly a popular answer. However, the Bookworms finally guess "Pride and Prejudice" and clinch the win.
In the end, the Bookworms celebrate their victory while the Bluffers commiserate their loss. But at least both teams have learned something new about books and the power of bluffing.
