America Says Season 2 Episode 41 Team vegas vs. 80s band

Team Vegas takes on the 80s Band in this exciting episode of America Says season 2. Hosted by John Michael Higgins, America Says is a fast-paced game show where two teams of four players compete to guess the top answers to various survey questions. In each round, a category is presented with a fill-in-the-blank question such as “I can’t leave the house without my ___” or “The best age to learn a new language is ___.” The teams then have to buzz in and fill in the blank with a word or phrase they think is one of the top answers on the survey.
The team that correctly guesses the most top answers in a category wins that round and earns points. The first team to reach 300 points advances to the bonus round where they have the chance to win up to $15,000.
In this episode, the team from Las Vegas faces off against a group of musicians representing the 80s Band. The Vegas team is made up of friends and coworkers Steve, Gwen, Joe, and Kim. They are all self-proclaimed Vegas locals who love to gamble and party. The 80s band is a group of four musicians from Los Angeles who specialize in playing tribute shows to popular bands from the 80s like Bon Jovi and Guns N Roses. They are represented by members Kyle, Dustin, Tracy, and Debra.
The first category presented to the teams is “Types of Cheese.” Both teams buzz in quickly and begin listing off popular cheeses such as cheddar, mozzarella, and Swiss. The Vegas team takes the lead early on and wins the round by correctly guessing more top answers. They earn 100 points and gain momentum going into the next category.
Next up is “Things You Forget to Do.” The teams have to guess what are the most common things people forget to do such as lock the door, turn off the lights, or brush their teeth. The 80s Band takes this round by guessing the top answer “take out the trash” which gives them an early lead of 50 points.
The third category is “Things That Dangle.” This category requires the teams to guess top answers that fit the description of things that dangle. Both teams struggle to come up with answers that fit the category, but eventually, the Vegas team wins this round by guessing the top answers of earrings and pendulum.
The fourth category presented is “Things You Tie.” The teams quickly buzz in and list off common things you tie, such as shoelaces, bowties, and neckties. The Vegas team takes this round once again and extends their lead with another 100 points.
The fifth and final category of the main game is “Types of Exotic Fruit.” The teams have to name types of fruit that are considered exotic or uncommon, such as durian, jackfruit, and starfruit. The 80s Band wins this round and earns an additional 150 points by guessing the top answers of mango and dragonfruit.
After the main game, the Vegas team advances to the bonus round where they have the chance to win up to $15,000. In this round, one player is chosen to give clues to the rest of the team for a category and they have to guess as many top answers as they can in 60 seconds. If they can guess all 7, they win the grand prize of $15,000.
In this episode, the Vegas team chooses Steve to give the clues for the category “Things You Do With Your Fingers.” Steve gives quick and accurate clues, and the rest of the team guesses top answers such as snap, type, and pick your nose (which surprisingly is a top answer). They manage to guess all 7 in the allotted time, and win the grand prize of $15,000.
Overall, this episode of America Says season 2 is filled with intense competition, quick thinking, and lots of laughs. Though both teams played well, the Vegas team’s familiarity with Las Vegas culture and party scene ultimately gave them the edge they needed to win the game.
