America Says Season 5 Episode 26 BBQ Pitmasters vs. Le Family

In this episode of America Says, two teams face off to guess the most popular responses to survey questions posed to 100 Americans. The first team, BBQ Pitmasters, is made up of five individuals who are passionate about grilling and their team name signifies this passion. The second team, Le Family, is a family group consisting of six members who are all related and eager to win this trivia showdown.

As host John Michael Higgins introduces the teams, each member shares a little bit about themselves. The BBQ Pitmasters are all from different parts of the country but are united by their love of barbecuing meat. Le Family hails from the West Coast and has a range of professions from doctor to student to entrepreneur. Both teams are filled with energy and excitement as they prepare to face off in this trivia game.

Round one begins with a question about things that are commonly found in a refrigerator. Both teams race to hit their buzzers and BBQ Pitmasters guess first, answering with "milk". This answer is on the board but isn't the top response. Le Family takes their turn and correctly guesses "eggs" which secures them the first round win.

Round two asks about New Year's resolutions that people commonly make. BBQ Pitmasters hit their buzzers first this time and confidently answer "exercise" which is the top response. Le Family quickly answers with "lose weight" which is also on the board. The teams go back and forth with the remaining responses until BBQ Pitmasters are declared the round two winners.

In round three, the teams must guess what the top responses are to the question "Things that begin with the letter Q". Both teams rack their brains trying to come up with uncommon words that would be on the board. BBQ Pitmasters answer with "quilt" which is a good guess but doesn't make the top five. Le Family answer with "queen" which is the first response. They continue to get most of the answers until BBQ Pitmasters can't come up with any other guesses. Le Family takes the round three win.

Round four asks about types of ice cream. Both teams are quick to answer with "vanilla" and "chocolate" respectively but neither is the top response. The teams continue to get most of the answers but at the end of the round, Le Family comes out on top again.

In the final round, the two teams must guess the top responses to the question "Things you do when you're bored". BBQ Pitmasters answer with "watch TV" which is the fourth response while Le Family answers with "sleep" which is not on the board. BBQ Pitmasters continue to get most of the responses and are the round five winners.

After tallying the scores, the host announces that Le Family is the overall winner. Both teams congratulate each other and express their enjoyment of the game.
