America Says Season 5 Episode 3 Night Owls vs. Competitive Couples
- April 27, 2022
In season 5 episode 3 of America Says, titled "Night Owls vs. Competitive Couples," two teams battle it out to see who can guess the most popular answers to survey questions. The first team, Night Owls, consists of four friends who love staying up late and enjoying the nightlife. The second team, Competitive Couples, is made up of two couples who are always up for a challenge and love being active and competitive.
Host John Michael Higgins introduces the teams and explains the rules of the game. In each round, both teams are presented with a category and a fill-in-the-blank phrase, such as "things you find in a purse" or "famous TV detectives." The teams then have to work together to come up with as many answers as they can within a set amount of time.
One of the categories in this episode is "things you would do if you won the lottery." The Night Owls quickly come up with answers like "buy a house," "travel the world," and "quit our jobs." Meanwhile, the Competitive Couples brainstorm answers such as "invest in stocks," "donate to charity," and "pay off debt." Both teams do well in this round, but it's a close call with the Night Owls coming out on top.
Another category is "things you associate with the word 'magic'." The Night Owls struggle a bit at first, but eventually come up with answers such as "wands," "rabbits," and "illusionist." The Competitive Couples, on the other hand, confidently list off answers like "fairy tales," "spells," and "Merlin." This time, the Competitive Couples win the round with a higher number of correct answers.
As the game progresses, the competition between the two teams heats up. The Night Owls and the Competitive Couples each have their strengths and weaknesses, but they both have a lot of fun guessing and trying to outsmart each other.
One of the final categories is "words that rhyme with 'jazz'." The Night Owls quickly list off words like "pass," "class," and "grass." The Competitive Couples struggle a bit, but eventually come up with answers like "chaps," "maps," and "bass." It's a close call, but the Night Owls narrowly win the round, securing their victory in the game overall.
Throughout the episode, both teams show great enthusiasm and teamwork. The Night Owls are a fun-loving group of friends who enjoy spending time together, while the Competitive Couples are determined and driven to win. Despite their differences, both teams showcase their creativity and knowledge in the various categories.
In the end, the Night Owls prove to be the better guessers, but both teams walk away with a sense of accomplishment and some great memories of their time on America Says. As always, John Michael Higgins keeps the game entertaining with his witty banter and impressive hosting skills.
