Ep 1. Episode 1

Before We Die season 2 episode 1, titled "Episode 1," picks up right where season 1 left off. The police have busted the Krüger criminal network, but Detective Hannah and Bjorn haven't found the leader of the drug organization, Jackie. In episode 1, they continue their search for Jackie while dealing with the fallout from their actions in season 1.

The episode starts with a tense scene, as Bjorn and Hannah question one of Jackie's associates. They need information about his whereabouts, but the man is unwilling to give it up. Bjorn is impatient and ready to use force, but Hannah's level head prevails. She manages to extract the information they need without resorting to violence, and they set off to find Jackie.

Meanwhile, Hanna's son, Christian, has just returned to Sweden from Thailand. But instead of coming back to his family with open arms, he's sneaking around and avoiding their calls. It's clear that Christian is in trouble, but he won't say what's going on. Hannah is worried and reaches out to her ex-husband, Stefan, for help. Stefan is a respected therapist who works with addicts, so Hannah thinks he might be able to get through to Christian.

As Hannah, Bjorn, and Stefan try to solve their respective problems, cracks begin to show in other areas of their lives. Hannah and her boss, Thomas, clash over their approaches to police work. She's frustrated that he's not giving her enough resources to track down Jackie, and she doesn't want to compromise on her morals. Meanwhile, Bjorn's personal life is in shambles. His wife has left him, so he's living alone in a rundown apartment. He's drinking too much and seems to be on a downward spiral.

Despite the obstacles, Hannah and Bjorn are determined to apprehend Jackie. They track him down to a remote cabin in the woods, and things get heated. But just as they're about to make an arrest, their plans are derailed by an unexpected visitor. Someone from Hannah's past shows up, throwing their operation into chaos. Hannah and Bjorn are forced to improvise, and the situation threatens to spiral out of control.

As the episode comes to a close, Hannah and Bjorn are still in pursuit of Jackie. They've made progress, but there are still plenty of unanswered questions. Meanwhile, Christian's situation remains unresolved, and Stefan is starting to suspect that there's more going on than Christian is letting on. The stage is set for another high-stakes season of Before We Die, with no shortage of drama or action.
