Ep 5. Thrills, Spills and a Cat Daddy

As a virtual water park, Cannonball continues to be the most explosive watercourse competition. In episode 5, the point is to recapture the energy and joy of the carnival with the Thrills, Spills and a Cat Daddy challenge.

The episode begins with the hosts, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and Rocsi Diaz, giving a backstory to the challenge. They explain that the challenge is designed to take the participants on a trip down memory lane, back to when they were children and when the carnival was the most exciting event of the year.

Twenty-four participants are split into three teams, and the first challenge is the "Cat in the Hatfrog," which slingshots the players, similar to a carnival game, and requires them to catch a hat floating in the water. At the end of the first challenge, the team with the least amount of hats wins, which turns out to be the pink team.

Next up is the "Dolphin Topple," where each team must topple a row of dolphins before they can move on to the next challenge. This proves to be the most difficult task of the episode, with some participants struggling to push down the dolphins. The blue team excels here and emerges victorious.

The third challenge is called the "Hoodoo Voodoo," and it involves traversing a series of floating buoys, completing a puzzle on the end buoy, and then going back to the start buoy. The green team has an exceptional run in this challenge and finishes first.

The fourth and final challenge is the "Ring of Fire," where each team must catapult a teammate through a flaming ring and into the water. The team with the most successful launches wins, and in an exciting finish, the green team comes out on top.

After all the intense challenges, the pink team falls into the losing position. They must then face the daunting "Wipeout Zone," where they must race across an obstacle course of giant water slides, spinning logs, and swinging balls. The lowest scoring members of the team will ultimately be eliminated.

At the "Wipeout Zone," we see some of the most insane wipeouts yet. Some of the teams' participants take bone-crushing falls and epic tumbles before either getting back on track or wiping out completely. After an intense final showdown, we see the pink team come out with the loss, and three of their members get eliminated.

Overall, the episode offers a lot of adrenaline-pumping and heart-racing challenges while also giving the participants a chance to relive their childhood memories. The cat daddy challenge stands out as a particular highlight, with the absurdity of the challenge adding to the entertainment factor. Additionally, the wipeout zone proves to be thrilling and hilarious with some of the most epic wipeouts of the season. A must-watch episode for fans of water park competitions.
