Ep 5. Dick Lansing

In Con Man season 2 episode 5, titled "Dick Lansing," Wray is struggling to keep up with the demands of his former co-star Jack, who has become a huge success as the star of his own TV show. Wray is feeling left behind and unsupported by his old friends, and is grappling with feelings of envy and inadequacy.

Things come to a head when Wray receives an invitation to Jack's big Hollywood party, which is loaded with celebrities and industry bigwigs. Wray feels completely out of place and uncomfortable, especially when he comes face-to-face with his old nemesis, the egotistical actor Dick Lansing.

Lansing is as obnoxious as ever, belittling Wray and bragging about his own successful career. Wray does his best to avoid the man, but Lansing keeps popping up throughout the party, making things increasingly difficult for Wray.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Spectrum crew - Bobbie, Jerry, and Tudy - are dealing with their own problems. Bobbie is trying to come up with a new character for her comic book, but is struggling to find inspiration. Jerry is trying to impress a group of kids at a talk about science fiction, but becomes increasingly flustered as they challenge him with difficult questions. And Tudy is trying to cope with the fact that she and her boyfriend are moving in together, and is feeling anxious about the change.

As the party wears on, tensions run high and relationships are tested. But in the end, Wray and his friends learn some important lessons about loyalty, friendship, and the truly important things in life.
