Fresh Tracks is a thrilling hunting show that airs on Amazon Prime, hosted by Randy Newberg, founder of On Your Own Adventures, LLC. The show follows Newberg as he travels deep into the mountains and wilderness, in search of the ultimate hunting experience. Throughout the series, Newberg leads viewers through some of the most rugged and remote parts of just about everything in the American West in pursuit of elk, mule deer, moose, and other big-game animals.

The show features everything from grueling, high-elevation backpack hunts to more leisurely pursuits, like hunting from a cozy cabin in the woods. What sets Fresh Tracks apart as a hunting show is the emphasis on the whole hunting experience -- not just the kill of the animal. As Newberg himself likes to say, "it's not just about the hunting, it's about what you learn along the way".

To that end, the show isn't afraid to delve into the nitty-gritty of hunting ethics, conservation, public land usage, and the politics that so often surround hunting. Throughout the episodes, Newberg is as much a hunting guide as he is an advocate for responsible hunting practices and public land use. He often takes time to explain his thought process and decision making as he navigates each new hunt, lending valuable insights for both seasoned hunters and newcomers alike.

Another unique aspect of Fresh Tracks is the way in which it blends traditional hunting techniques with new technology. Newberg is something of a pioneer when it comes to using digital tools like GPS and satellite imagery to plan and execute his hunts, and he's not shy about sharing his tips and tricks with viewers.

Of course, the real stars of the show are the animals themselves, and Fresh Tracks doesn't skimp on the breathtaking shots of elk, deer and other big game. With stunning backdrops in states like Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and beyond, every episode offers eye candy for environmentalists and animal enthusiasts alike.

Ultimately, though, what makes Fresh Tracks such a compelling show for anyone is the sense of adventure and exploration that permeates every scene. Whether Newberg is scouting new terrain by foot, horseback or ATV, the show is infused with the wonder and beauty of the natural world at its most wild and untamed. That sense of awe and respect for nature is a through-line that connects all the diverse elements of the show, and reminds us why the pursuit of wild game can be as much a spiritual journey as a physical one.

Each episode of Fresh Tracks is a mini-odyssey, packed with adrenaline-fueled hunts, insightful commentary, stunning cinematography, and contemplative moments of quiet reflection. For anyone who loves the great outdoors, adventure, or simply good storytelling, this show is not to be missed.

Fresh Tracks is a series that is currently running and has 8 seasons (77 episodes). The series first aired on July 1, 2014.
