Lissandre's computer was found along with the threatening emails he had sent to Nathan. The latter had called Karine Marchetti's son a bastard after hearing a confession in the church. Shortly afterwards, Nathan's mobile phone is reactivated. Rotman manages to trace the call: it comes from the house of Rose and Toussaint Olivesi, Karine Marchetti's parents.

Karine Marchetti takes charge of the investigation while Thomas Rotman is able to return to work. Suzanne Leroy, whose dog is still missing, tells the chief superintendent about the scene she witnessed on the night Nathan died. She also reveals a heavy family secret.
