Ep 1. Snow Gives Way

A billionaire by the name of Danny Rand has been missing for 15 years. Upon his return to New York City, he seeks to reclaim what is rightfully his, but faces challenges every step of the way. In the pilot episode, titled "Snow Gives Way," Danny arrives back in the city he once called home, but finds himself at a disadvantage when he realizes that no one believes he is who he says he is. He is met with skepticism and disbelief from his childhood friends, Joy and Ward Meachum, who now control his family's corporation, Rand Enterprises.

Danny's first order of business is to try and persuade Joy and Ward to believe that he is indeed Danny Rand, the son of their former business partner. However, they are unimpressed with his unkempt appearance, and the fact that he has no hard proof of his identity to offer. To make matters worse, the board of directors at Rand Enterprises are unwilling to give up their power and control to someone who they believe is an imposter. Danny's challenge in proving his identity is complicated by the fact that he has been presumed dead for years, and there is very little physical evidence to support his claim.

Danny holds fast to his conviction that he is Danny Rand and insists that he should be the rightful owner of the family corporation. However, the Meachum siblings remain resistant. Joy has residual feelings of guilt for how her family treated Danny's after his parents' death, but she is convinced that he is an imposter. Ward, meanwhile, is more aggressive and confrontational towards Danny and publicly demands that he leaves Rand Enterprises alone.

As Danny struggles to reclaim his identity and birthright, he is also grappling with personal challenges. Having been away from the Western world for so long, Danny is experiencing culture shock and is trying to re-acclimate himself to his old surroundings. Part of his adjustment involves reconnecting with an old family friend named Colleen Wing, who runs a dojo and teaches self-defense. Danny starts to socialize with Colleen, but he is also hiding secrets from her, including his true identity and his martial arts abilities that he acquired during his training in K'un-Lun, a mystical city in the Himalayas.

In the episode, we also catch glimpses of Danny's past, including the circumstances that led to his parents' death when he was a young boy, and his subsequent training in K'un-Lun as a warrior. The flashbacks serve to illustrate the origin story of Iron Fist, one of the most beloved superheroes in the Marvel Universe.

Throughout the episode, we see Danny trying to gain his footing in a world that has drastically changed since the last time he walked its streets. He is met with hostility from strangers, and even with his exceptional combat skills, he struggles to navigate the world of corporate power struggles and high-stakes negotiations. Will Danny be able to claim what is rightfully his as the heir to Rand Enterprises, or will the Meachums prevail and keep him out of the company? The first episode of Marvel's Iron Fist raises compelling questions and sets the stage for a thrilling adventure.
