Maggie Beer was a guest judge today and she brought with her fresh produce and proteins from the Barossa valley. The contestants were to use those ingredients to cook a 'Family Feast' for all the judges and all their fellow all stars. They were given 2 hours and unlimited use of Maggie's pantry.

There were three dishes. It began with a 'battle royale' with Chris, Justine, Dani and Marion fighting against Gary and George in a team mystery box. Matt P. set the challenge with his favorite ingredients.

The challenge consisted of three rounds and in each round the All Stars would be cooking with their favourite ingredients. In each round the dishes would be scored on a scale of points one to three.

The All stars started the day with an extraordinary pantry dash at the Fish Markets today. They were told they had to cook an amazing seafood dish for 100 people but who?

This challenge was separated in two rounds. Round One was 'Keeping up with Curtis'. The all stars had to cook along as Curtis made his signature lobster ravioli. The person who as able to keep up the most and put up the best dish would be safe from the next round.

In this pressure test the All Stars had to recreate George's 'Zeus and his eight mistresses' dessert. The All stars were given 3 hours to replicate the dish. Chris and Callum were praised with having the two standout dishes and for finishing all nine elements on time.

In today's double elimination the all stars faced the mystery box to end all mystery boxes. When the all stars lifted their box chicken, prawns, chillies, matches and a hatchet were revealed. It was announced that the all stars would be chopping up their mystery boxes to act as fuel for their bbqs.

In the CWA Cake Bake Challenge guest judges Merle, Nelleke and Alison, three CWA judges, presented the all stars with eight classic Aussie cakes.

This double elimination was all about chicken. The All Stars were given one whole chicken and three rounds to save themselves from going home. Kate had immunity from the previous challenge and therefore didn't participate.

The all stars had to recreate the first dish they ever cooked in the MCK and take it to the next level. In the morning Poh, Callum and Kate were shown a video reminder of their first dishes. The all stars were given 75 minutes to complete their dish.

In the first pressure test of MCAS the All Stars had to recreate Gary's beef wellington and red wine sauce. At the end of the challenge, two All Stars would be going home.

12 of Australia's top chefs surprised the all stars in the MCK. Gary and George announced that they were be facing off, one on one, against these chefs in an ultimate immunity challenge. If the all stars were able to beat their chef they would have immunity from the first MCAS pressure test. The all stars had to collectively decide on a core ingredient, bacon or eggs, to shine in the dishes.

In the 'knifemare' challenge the blue team were reminded of their their three worst dishes during Series 1. The knife pull determined which of those dishes they were each reattempt. Julie cooked 'puddle pie, Poh, chocolate tart, Chris vanilla panna cotta and macarons and Justine a warm pear tart.

This challenge consisted of two rounds. The first round brought back the onion chop. The first person to complete the task was awarded with an advantage for their team going into round two. Poh was the first to finish so the Blue team was given the advantage. Round two was Fix That Dish of bolognaise.

In the first mystery box of MAS, the contestants were gifted ingredients from celebrity chefs who visited them over the last three series. Heston Blumenthal gifted dry ice, Jamie Oliver chose chillis, Nigella Lawson chose lemons, Anthony Bourdain gifted a sea urchin, Michel Roux chose chocolate, John Trodoe picked beef fillet, Rick Stein chose spanner crab and Rene Redzepi chose asparagus.

The 3 teams were told they had to cook a sausage sizzle to feed 100 firefighters. A fire-extinguisher pick determined what protein each team would cook with. Red team cooked Duck, Blue team cooked Pork and the Yellow team cooked Lamb.

All Stars competed against each other in four rounds that explored different cuisines from around the world. The winning team of each round was able choose which team member would cook in the next round and what cuisine they would be cooking. Because the yellow team won the advantage from the croquembouche relay, they chose the first competitor and the first cuisine, Kate and Lebanese food.

In the first episode of Masterchef All Stars contestants from Series 1, 2, and 3 were welcomed back into the MCK. From series 1, Chris, Julie, Justine and Poh. From Series 2, Marion, Jonathan, Aaron and Callum. And from Series 3, Dani, Hayden, Kate and Kumar. Their first challenge back in the kitchen was a team 'relay' where they had to create the dreaded croquembouche by Adriano Zumbo.
