Zick, Elena, and Monsieur devise a plan to stop the Psi-gamma from hatching. They decide to use a special machine that will freeze the Egg in place and prevent it from hatching. However, the machine requires a rare crystal to work, and the only place to find it is inside the mill that they were just at.

Zick and Elena sneak back into the mill and retrieve the crystal, narrowly avoiding detection by the monster hunters. They return to Monsieur's shop and use the crystal to power the machine. The machine successfully freezes the Egg in place, preventing the Psi-gamma from hatching and taking control of the town's monsters.

The episode ends with Zick and Elena putting the frozen Egg back into the underground laboratory, where it will remain safe until they can figure out what to do with it.
