In the ninth episode of the first season of New Looney Tunes, titled "Wabbit's Wild/All Belts Are Off," viewers are treated to two separate cartoon shorts.
In the first short, "Wabbit's Wild," Bugs Bunny and Squeaks the Squirrel are camping in the wilderness, trying to enjoy a peaceful getaway. Unfortunately for them, they encounter all sorts of wild creatures intent on ruining their fun. First, a skunk decides to join them in their tent, leaving Bugs and Squeaks desperate to get away before they're sprayed. Then, a hungry bear interrupts their attempt to cook dinner over an open flame. Finally, just as they think they've escaped danger, they run into a pack of wolves who think they look like tasty snacks. Of course, Bugs isn't one to back down from a challenge, and he uses his smarts to escape each of these precarious situations.
In the second short, "All Belts Are Off," we see Wile E. Coyote, the persistent predator always on the hunt for his quick-footed prey, the Road Runner. This time, Wile E. thinks he's found the ultimate solution to his problem: a special super belt that will make him faster than the Road Runner. Of course, as is always the case in these cartoons, things don't go according to plan. Wile E. struggles to put on the belt, and once he finally succeeds, he finds that he's gotten more than he bargained for. The belt doesn't just make him faster -- it also makes him completely out of control. Wile E. zooms around at breakneck speeds, unable to stop himself from crashing into everything in sight.
Both of these shorts offer the classic Looney Tunes mix of slapstick humor, clever puns, and high-energy action. Fans of Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote will love seeing their old favorites in action once again, while newcomers to the series will be sure to enjoy the zany antics and colorful animation.
