The episode Hurricanes vs Flames is the sixty-sixth episode in the second season of the NHL. This episode features a thrilling matchup between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Calgary Flames. The Hurricanes, led by star players Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho, are looking to continue their strong start to the season as they come into this game with a 15-4-1 record.

The Flames, meanwhile, are looking to turn things around after a slow start to the season. Led by captain Mark Giordano and star forward Johnny Gaudreau, the Flames are hoping to make a push for the playoffs and a deep postseason run.

As the game begins, both teams come out with energy and intensity, looking to establish themselves early on. The Hurricanes strike first, as Svechnikov scores a beautiful goal on a breakaway to give his team an early 1-0 lead. The Flames respond quickly, however, as Gaudreau scores a power play goal to tie the game at 1-1.

The rest of the first period sees back-and-forth action, with both teams trading scoring chances and physical hits. The Hurricanes go into the first intermission with a slight edge in shots on goal and scoring chances, but the Flames are definitely still in the game.

The second period sees the Flames come out with more energy and intensity, as they look to build off their strong finish to the first period. The Hurricanes, however, are ready for the challenge, and they quickly regain the lead as Aho scores a beautiful goal on a give-and-go play with teammate Teuvo Teravainen.

The Flames respond once again, as forward Matthew Tkachuk scores on a beautiful individual effort to tie the game at 2-2. The teams continue to trade chances throughout the period, with both goalies making some spectacular saves to keep their teams in the game.

As the third period begins, the tension in the arena is palpable, as both teams know that the next goal could be the game-winner. The Hurricanes come out with more energy and intensity, as they look to put the game away early in the period. They get some great chances, but Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom stands tall and keeps his team in the game.

As the period wears on, the Flames begin to push back, and they start to generate some scoring chances of their own. Late in the period, they get a power play opportunity, and they make the most of it, as Giordano scores a beautiful slap shot goal to give his team a 3-2 lead.

The Hurricanes pull their goalie with just over a minute left in the game, looking to tie it up and send it to overtime. They get some great chances, but Markstrom stands tall once again, making several game-saving saves to give his team the victory.

Overall, this was a thrilling and intense game, with both teams playing hard and giving it their all until the final whistle. The Flames come away with a hard-fought victory, thanks in large part to the stellar play of Markstrom and the clutch goal-scoring of Giordano and Gaudreau. But the Hurricanes can hold their heads high, as they played a great game and showed that they are one of the top teams in the league.
