  • January 5, 2012

In NHL season 3 episode 4, fans are in for a thrilling game between the Edmonton Oilers and St. Louis Blues. As the two teams take to the ice, tensions are high and both sides are eager for a victory.

The Oilers come into the game with a record of 4-3-1, having won their previous two games. Connor McDavid, the team's star center and one of the top players in the league, is in top form and ready to lead his team to victory. He's supported by a solid group of skaters, including Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl, and Oscar Klefbom.

On the other side of the ice, the Blues are looking to continue their dominant start to the season. They enter the game with a 6-1-1 record, having won their last three games. Leading the way for the Blues is defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, who is having an outstanding start to the season with 9 points in his first 8 games. Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz also provide a dangerous offensive threat for the Blues.

The game gets off to a fast start, with both teams trading chances early on. The Oilers strike first, with an early goal from Nugent-Hopkins. However, the Blues respond quickly, with Pietrangelo scoring a power play goal to tie the game up at 1-1.

The rest of the first period is a back-and-forth affair, with both teams creating plenty of scoring chances. However, neither side is able to find the back of the net again in the opening frame.

The second period continues in much the same vein, with both teams playing fast and physical hockey. The Oilers take the lead once again with a goal from Draisaitl, but the Blues fight back yet again. This time it's Schenn who scores, tying the game at 2-2.

As the game enters the third period, it's clear that both teams are determined to come away with a win. The Oilers pour on the pressure, but Blues goaltender Jake Allen stands tall to keep the game tied. At the other end of the ice, Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen is equally impressive, making several key saves to keep his team in the game.

With just minutes left in the game, it looks as though it might be headed for overtime. However, a late penalty gives the Blues a chance to take the lead. They make the most of the opportunity, with Schwartz scoring the go-ahead goal on the power play with just over a minute remaining.

The Oilers pull their goaltender in a desperate attempt to tie the game, but they're unable to generate any more offense. As the final buzzer sounds, the Blues celebrate a hard-fought 3-2 victory.

Overall, the game is a great showcase for some of the top talent in the league. McDavid and Pietrangelo both have standout performances, while Schenn and Schwartz provide the scoring touch for the Blues. It's a thrilling game that keeps fans on the edge of their seats until the very end, and it's a reminder of why hockey is such a beloved sport.
