Ding ding! The clock's run out on Massey's training, and his boxing match is set. Unprepared and terrified - but with his friend Brad in his corner - Massey gets in the ring with a pro boxer. He's a bit lonely living on his own, so he checks out a local pet store for a companion or two - or five.

Massey follows Jon Jon's advice, and celebrates his successes by tapping into his inner child. While he embarks on an adventurous man-date with Brad, Iceis celebrates her own achievements with the launch of her new album Redemption at Edmonton's Kaleido Festival.

Iceis and Massey hit the road to have fun during Calgary's Pride Week. Massey meets and befriends an adorable two-spirited child Alex/Tiffany and their parents. Iceis is scheduled to perform at a Women's Conference right after a keynote speech by Buffy Sainte-Marie - but the performance is threatened by a panic attack.

Iceis judges a drag competition in a surprising venue - the Woodland Cree reserve at Cadotte Lake, Alberta. But when she treats the winner to an Edmonton drag show, Iceis is triggered and her sobriety is threatened. Massey collects traditional medicines, and with his therapist's help, is finally able to identify his safe space.

Massey and his new therapist, Jon Jon, start the daunting process of unpacking Massey's childhood trauma. The memory of her sister surprises Iceis and gives her courage to compete on the powwow trail for the first time as a jingle dancer.

Massey, Gail, and Brad celebrate Pride in Vancouver, but the post-parade festivities overwhelm Massey, forcing him to seek help. After Queer Boxing Camp's River Tucker puts him through his paces, Massey returns to Edmonton to meet with his new therapist, Jon Jon, with whom he shares a shocking revelation about his past.

A religious pilgrimage with his mother to Lac Ste. Anne leaves Massey conflicted. Iceis hits the powwow trail to dance in honour of murdered and missing Indigenous - but an arbitrary rule threatens to prevent her competing in her category. In pursuit of his inner macho man, Massey scares himself at a local shooting range.

Plagued by addiction and past trauma, Massey makes the big move from Fort McKay to Edmonton to focus on his mental health. As Massey begins training to compete in a charity-boxing match, he gets an eye-opener about just how out of shape he is. Iceis speaks at a conference and is touched by the resolve of a young woman she meets there.
