When they arrive, they're shocked to see Spongebob acting like a grown-up and they don't even recognize him at first. They try to talk to him and convince him to come back to his old life, but he's hesitant at first. Eventually, he realizes that being a kid is much more fun, and he decides to go back to his old self.

The episode ends with Spongebob blowing out his candles and making a wish, but we don't see what his wish is. We can only assume that he wished to stay a kid forever.
