Ep 3. Imitation Krabs

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series that premiered on Nickelodeon in 1999. The show follows the adventures of SpongeBob, a lovable and optimistic sea sponge who lives in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. In the episode "Imitation Krabs," Sheldon Plankton creates a robot that looks like Mr. Krabs in an attempt to steal the secret formula for the Krabby Patty.

The episode begins with SpongeBob working at the Krusty Krab when he sees a sign advertising a contest to win a free Krabby Patty. The contest requires entrants to correctly identify the real Mr. Krabs from two identical-looking Krabs. SpongeBob decides to enter the contest and prepares himself by going over every detail he can remember about Mr. Krabs.

Meanwhile, Plankton is busy working on his latest invention: a robot that looks and sounds exactly like Mr. Krabs. Plankton believes that he can use the robot to infiltrate the Krusty Krab and steal the secret formula for the Krabby Patty. He tests the robot by having it ask him a question and then having it give the correct answer. The robot passes the test with flying colors.

Over at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob is getting ready for the contest when he sees the fake Mr. Krabs. The fake Krabs starts acting strangely, such as calling him "Bob" instead of "SpongeBob" and offering him a free Krabby Patty without him winning the contest. Suspicious, SpongeBob decides to test the Krabs by asking him the most obscure question he can think of: "What is my favorite jellyfish jelly flavor?"

The fake Krabs responds with "grape," which is the correct answer. SpongeBob is ecstatic and hugs the fake Krabs, declaring him the real Mr. Krabs. But just as they are about to award SpongeBob the free Krabby Patty, the real Mr. Krabs enters the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob is confused and realizes that he made a mistake in identifying the real Mr. Krabs.

Mr. Krabs is furious and fires SpongeBob on the spot. He then proceeds to interrogate the fake Krabs, eventually discovering that it is Plankton in disguise. Plankton admits that he created the robot in order to steal the secret formula for the Krabby Patty. Mr. Krabs is enraged and prepares to throw Plankton into the Chum Bucket, but SpongeBob convinces him to give Plankton one more chance.

Mr. Krabs allows Plankton to stay and work at the Krusty Krab, but he must wear a mind-altering helmet that prevents him from having any more evil thoughts. Plankton begrudgingly agrees and puts on the helmet. The episode ends with SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs happily serving Krabby Patties to their customers, while Plankton grumbles in the background.
