5. Cromer

August 29, 2024

Susan travels to charming Cromer on the north Norfolk coast to find it's the Annual Vintage Sixties Festival. After admiring the parade of scooters, Susan joins the crowds with some swinging sixties moves. She can't come here and not have Cromer crab - but it turns out she must sketch for her supper. A lovely bistro displays the best of the customer drawings.

4. Bridlington

August 22, 2024

This time, Susan is off to one of her favourite places, Yorkshire and the seaside town of Bridlington. She arrives in style on the all-electric land train, then makes a beeline for the fairground, trying her hand at hook-a-duck and what she hopes will be a gentle ride on the teacups. Then, at Bridlington's historic harbour, she's off to Flamborough Head.

3. Barry Island

August 15, 2024

Susan is in Barry Island, South Wales, made famous by the sit-com Gavin and Stacey. It's a resort that promises family fun galore. On the promenade Susan meets a gathering of camper vans, known collectively as Barryfornia. She stops for a chat and gets a few tips for when she's next on the road with her own campervan, Helen.

2. Eastbourne

August 8, 2024

This time Susan is off to the UK's sunniest place, Eastbourne on the southeast coast. It's an elegant resort and Susan begins at the beautiful golden pier. There's fun in the amusements and the Victorian Tea Rooms is a bustling spot for a traditional afternoon tea, Calman style. She's then off to Sovereign Harbour for a rib boat to the iconic chalk sea cliff of Beachy Head.

1. Lyme Regis

August 1, 2024

Susan starts her seaside holidays in Lyme Regis on the south coast, starting at the historic harbour, the Cobb. From here she makes her way along the jetty bumping into a group preparing for a game of water polo in the sea. She stops for a chat and can't resist some over enthusiastic umpiring.
