In this Season 1 'Special' 6 interior designer have just a few weeks to transform 6 brand new downtown apartments into cool trendy urban spaces. The designs are inspired by Asia, Morocco, and even a farm in Texas; one is "rustic modern" and another "sexy sustainable" but there can be only one winner. And one designer has 3 weeks less than everyone else because she is having a baby!

6. "And the Winner is..."

For our contestants, the most intense challenge of their professional lives is over. Now they can only wait (and worry!) as the judges cast a critical eye on their work and offer some blunt assessments. Then finally, it's time to name the Design Champion - and see a few shocked faces.

5. Drips and Disasters

Tony finishes ahead of schedule. Lindsey artfully arranges her last pieces of furniture. And Rae - a maverick to the end - sees a last-minute design experiment backfire spectacularly. Then the designers finally get to see each others' finished apartments. How will they rate the competition?

As major furnishings arrive, the apartments start to take shape. And yet the designers still find time to channel their inner artist. Lindsey and Rae get stuck into some serious home-blinging activity, while Tony unveils an outrageously bold statement piece.

3. Throw it All at the Wall

It's decorating time, and the designers compete to create the most eye-catching walls - using intricate stencils, faux-concrete, and even sand. Lindsey also finds some perfect revamped 'cowgirl' furniture, while Tony trips the light fantastic with some dazzling lamps.
