But before she can put things in motion, she must convince her mother, Virginia, to come back to Mexico City to help her.
Meanwhile, Elena continues to deal with the aftermath of her scandalous affair, as she must decide whether or not to take legal action against her former lover. With the help of her father, Ernesto, she is ready to do whatever it takes to get her justice.
At the same time, Julian is still struggling with his feelings for Diego, and as he tries to come to terms with his sexuality, he faces backlash from his own family. But Diego is not one to give up, and he continues to woo Julian while keeping his own secrets.
The family patriarch, Ernesto, who has always been in the background, is now in a dilemma when he finds that his children are facing emotional issues he never took any interest in, and the repercussions of his actions start to come to light. Anguished over the fact that he has been neglectful as a father, he decides to re-prioritize things, but can he mend all the broken pieces?
The arrival of Paulina's friend, Maria Jose, adds to the dynamics of the family. Maria Jose is a free-spirited, rambunctious woman with whom Paulina has a complicated past. The two of them must deal with unresolved issues and tension around their friendship.
