On Wakaalat From Home season 1 episode 5 titled "Chimpanzee," we see Radhika and Sujin having to deal with an unruly neighbor and an unexpected pet all in one day. The episode starts off with both of them dealing with work tasks, Radhika is busy with her online counseling session while Sujin is attending a virtual conference.
Things take a turn when their neighbor Chaddha, played by Gopal Dutt, asks them to look after his pet chimpanzee for a few hours. Initially, both Radhika and Sujin are hesitant and try to refuse, but Chaddha convinces them, promising to take them out for dinner in return. With no other choice, they agree to take care of the primate, who they later discover is quite a handful.
As soon as the chimpanzee enters their apartment, chaos ensues. The primate is curious and mischievous, constantly getting into everything and anything. Radhika and Sujin try their best to keep the chimpanzee busy with toys and games, but nothing seems to satisfy it. The pet's behavior leads to quite a few hilarious situations.
Meanwhile, Radhika's client in the counseling session seems to have problems of her own, as she talks about relationships, infidelity, and wanting to start a family. Radhika, who is already feeling a bit overwhelmed with the task of taking care of the chimpanzee, tries her best to provide her client with the right kind of advice.
Sujin's conference gets interrupted by the chimpanzee's howls and screams, and he struggles to focus on the meeting. The virtual atmosphere allows for a bit of humor as Sujin tries his best to maintain his composure and participate in the conference, all while attending to the wild animal that has taken over their apartment.
As the day progresses, Radhika and Sujin have had enough of the chimpanzee's antics, and they try to get it to calm down. Several attempts, including feeding it and attempting to soothe it with music, fail, and the primate's behavior becomes even more erratic.
Overall, "Chimpanzee" offers a hilarious and quirky take on the challenges of working from home and takes a fun look at the responsibilities of pet care. It is a relatable and enjoyable watch and showcases some great acting from all the actors involved.
