Ep 1. Pilot

Brian Davis is a successful advertising executive in his thirties. His friends, all married with children, are starting to wonder why he hasn't settled down yet. Brian's best friend Adam, who is married to his college sweetheart Marjorie, is concerned that Brian is not moving forward in his life. Adam and Marjorie's friend Dave, a therapist, suggests that they set Brian up with a girl.

Meanwhile, Brian's sister Nicole seems to have everything going for her. She has a successful career as a lawyer and a handsome boyfriend named Ethan. However, Ethan proposes to Nicole and she turns him down, telling him that he's not the one.

Brian meets a beautiful girl named Bridget at a bar, but things don't go as planned when they go back to his apartment. Brian realizes that he's not as ready for a commitment as he thought he was. The next day, Brian runs into his ex-girlfriend, a successful doctor named Deena. They catch up over lunch and she tells Brian that he's afraid of commitment.

Brian decides to take Dave's advice and go to therapy. During his session, Dave suggests that Brian make a list of all the things he's looking for in a relationship. After the session, Brian goes home and starts making the list. While he works on his list, his friends continue to set him up with girls.

Brian tells Adam about his attraction to Marjorie and Adam becomes upset, telling Brian that Marjorie is off limits. Adam tells Brian that he needs to figure out what he really wants.

Brian continues to struggle with his feelings for Marjorie and his fear of commitment. He meets with Deena again, who tells him that she's moved on since they dated and that he needs to do the same. Brian realizes that he needs to stop running away from his fear of commitment and start embracing it.

At the end of the episode, Brian meets with Dave and tells him that he's ready to start dating seriously. Dave tells Brian that he's proud of him and that he's making progress.
