Ep 4. The Importance of Being Brian

Brian’s self-image is taking a hit when he realizes that he is the only one not in a serious relationship. His desire to keep up with his friends leads him to take things too far and he ends up in a complicated situation involving two women. Meanwhile, Marjorie throws a dinner party for her friends and invites Brian, but his crass behavior embarrasses her. Dave and Deena are dealing with their own relationship issues as they try to get pregnant. Deena’s fertility problems begin to cause tension in their marriage as Dave starts to feel powerless in their quest to have a baby. Nic comes to town and struggles to keep her new relationship with Angelo a secret from her friends. As the weekend unfolds, Nic and Angelo’s relationship becomes the subject of gossip and speculation among the group. The episode ends with Brian taking a big step towards healing his wounded ego, but just as he starts to move on, he receives some shocking news that threatens to change everything.
