Ep 1. Pilot

In "What We Do in the Shadows" season 1 episode 1, viewers are introduced to a group of vampires who live together in a house in Staten Island. The episode is fittingly titled "Pilot," as it introduces the show's main characters and sets the stage for the series to come.

Guillermo, meanwhile, seems to be growing increasingly resentful of his role as a familiar and yearns for the day when he will finally be turned into a vampire.

As the episode progresses, the vampires begin to realize that they are being hunted by a group of vampire hunters known as the "Council of Vampire Hunters." The council has been aware of the vampire house in Staten Island for some time, but has not yet taken action against them. However, as the vampires begin to cause more and more chaos and destruction in the city, the council decides that something must be done.

The second half of the episode focuses on the various tactics the vampires use to try to fend off the vampire hunters. Nandor decides that the best course of action is to simply talk to the vampire hunters and try to come to a peaceful resolution. However, this plan quickly goes awry when one of the hunters simply slaps Nandor in the face and declares that they will never make peace with the undead.

Laszlo and Nadja, meanwhile, decide to take a more aggressive approach. They use their powers of mind control to lure a group of virgins into the house, intending to feast on them and use their blood to pacify the council. However, their plan backfires when the virgins turn out to be more of a nuisance than a meal, and Laszlo and Nadja are forced to flee the scene.

In the final moments of the episode, the vampires are forced to confront the fact that they may not be able to fend off the council forever. As they huddle together in their dimly-lit living room, they wonder what their future holds, and whether they will be able to keep their vampire ways hidden from the world around them.

Overall, the first episode of "What We Do in the Shadows" sets a strong foundation for the series to come. The show's unique blend of horror and comedy is on full display, as is its talented cast of actors. Viewers are left wondering what will happen next to the bumbling, hilarious, and occasionally terrifying group of vampires at the show's center.
